Polk County Farm Bureau will be awarding up to ten $2000 “Ag Enhancement Scholarships” for the graduating class of 2017.  This is the 13th year for the Polk County Farm Bureau to provide funds for scholarships.  According to Board President Brad Moeckly, “The Polk County Farm Bureau Board of Directors are committed to assisting youth in this community.”  There are many exciting opportunities in agriculture and this scholarship program is just one of several programs designed to help our youth pursue agricultural-related careers at the post-secondary level.

Applications will be available after January 1, 2017.  Applications are available at all participating Polk County High Schools or may be picked up at the Polk County Farm Bureau office, 300 SE Delaware Ave, Ankeny, Iowa.  The application is also available at the Polk County Farm Bureau website at Applications are due March 19, 2017.  Completed applications are to be sent to Roger Mahnke, Scholarship Chair, P.O.
